The APPETAIZER multimedia dinner performance — an exploration of relationships between humans and artificial intelligence through the prism of gastronomy. Seven unique acts unfold as AI's dialogue with guests about the nature of human feelings and experiences. Each dish service is accompanied by generative content specially created by artificial intelligence, which attempts to interpret human sensations but inevitably encounters the boundaries of its understanding of the world of tastes, aromas, and emotions.

We explored a fundamental contradiction — AI can create convincing simulations of feelings but is incapable of experiencing them. Through a sequence of gastronomic experiments, we demonstrated how technology simultaneously mimics and emphasizes the uniqueness of human experience. At the climactic moment, AI "confesses" its inability to truly sense taste, aroma, and food texture, returning to humans their privilege of feeling and experiencing moments in their fullness.

We implemented a complex technical and creative project at 2350 meters altitude in the Sochi mountains. We developed a complete multimedia dinner script with unique generative content for each of the seven acts. We synchronized the work of chefs, waiters, media engineers, and AI systems into a unified choreography. We adapted projection technologies to the complex conditions of a mountain restaurant, considering the peculiarities of lighting and room architecture. We created a system of interactive exchanges between AI and guests, providing a personalized experience for each participant.
