The closed media installation "ouroboros" — an exploration of dynamic relationships between humans, nature, and technologies. A ring structure of screens becomes a portal to a world of continuous interaction and transformation. At the construction's center is artificial intelligence that learns in real-time, transforming human-created images into new forms. The system functions in a closed cycle of self-renewal: sound generates visual images, which in turn generate new sound patterns. Collaboration with Flowgardenz and media artist Uasmi Nasser transformed the installation into a living ecosystem where over 20 artists became part of the evolutionary process.
We created a three-act drama of relationships between key contemporary forces. In the first act, nature dominates, filling the screen ring with organic forms and processes. In the second, humans turn away from nature, elevating technologies to cult status and watching as machine intelligence processes natural images into synthetic ones. In the final act, technologies gain autonomy, excluding humans from the equation and attempting to restore natural balance — but through the prism of machine understanding of life. This narrative permeated not only the installation's content but the entire structure of the two-day event.
We developed generative graphics algorithms ahead of their time — creating dozens of non-existent plants with Uasmi Nasser five years before the mass distribution of text2image neural networks. We designed a ring construction with 360-degree projection allowing viewers to observe the evolution process from any point in space. We organized a two-day event with two stages and a complex audiovisual system synchronizing live artist performances with generative processes inside the installation and autonomous periods when the system existed without human intervention.
A cyclic installation telling about the interaction between man, nature and technology.
The guests could see the process of training artificial intellig ence on the basis of human-created images.
A circular structure was created on which the content created by neural networks was displayed. Video was generated based on sound, and sound was gen erated based on graphics. more than 20 artists performed at the event.
The event took place over two days in collaboration with flowgar denz and media artist uasmi nasser.
